Meet the current PTO Board Members.
Joining the PTO doesn’t mean endless hours of volunteering. It means you believe that the students and all school staff deserve to be appreciated and recognized for all of their hard work throughout the year. While the PTO does consist of multiple board positions at its core, you do not need to be a board member to participate. Any and all are welcome and encouraged to join.
Research shows that participating in your child’s school and showing engagement helps them perform better academically. It also sets an excellent teamwork example for your child.
The PTO performs support for school teachers and staff, helps fund field trips, hosts school events and more. All of this helps to create a positive and caring atmosphere in the school.
Get to know the teachers/staff and make life-long friends with other parents at the school.
Socliazing with other parents and volunteering to do good for your child’s school is fun, healthy, and rewarding!
Every little bit helps... whether you can volunteer a little or alot... it adds up when we all work together!
Fact: The PTO is for EVERYONE! Volunteers can be mothers, fathers, and those that fill those roles. We have a wide range of volunteers who: stay-at-home, work part-time to full-time, have little ones at home, preschoolers, high schoolers, and/or college students, are continuing their education; and more.
Fact: The PTO welcomes everyone and continues to need volunteers for various events, fundraisers, and committees year-round. We need you!
Fact: Only YOU can decide how much time you can give. Even if you can help at just one event or handle one task per year, it would be greatly appreciated. We love when parents have the capacity to volunteer, but it is not a requirement.
Fact: While we are sometimes fortunate enough to have dedicated volunteers who do return, we always welcome new faces.
Fact: While we always welcome new members of the board when it comes time for position elections as well as committee chairs throughout the year, you do not have to do either to be apart of the PTO. Attending the PTO meetings, volunteering for events, or even offering to help with a task you can complete on your own time is extremely helpful.
Fact: Each year the PTO brings back tried and true favorites however, we are always looking to try new activities, fundraisers and events. These ideas come from volunteers like YOU!
Fact: Much of the PTO work can be done from home on your own schedule, or at events at night or weekends. Yes, there is volunteering during the school day if you are able to do so. But no one does it all, so choose what works best for you.
